2. How We Use Your Data
- To display your profile to other registered members seeking matrimonial matches
- To calculate Kundali compatibility scores through our partnership with Astrogiva.com
- To send OTP messages for verification purposes
- To send important account notifications (not marketing spam)
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or unsafe profiles
3. What We DO NOT Do
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties
- We do not share your contact details without mutual interest acceptance
- We do not display your full Aadhaar number — only the last 4 digits are stored
- We do not use your data for advertising on other platforms
- We do not share your data with employers, insurance companies, or government agencies unless legally required
4. Photos and Media
Photos you upload are stored on our secure Hostinger servers in India. They are displayed to other registered members only. You may delete your photos at any time from your profile settings. Deleted photos are permanently removed within 24 hours.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Passwords stored as bcrypt hashes — we cannot see your password
- HTTPS encryption on all pages and API calls
- Session tokens with 72-hour expiry
- Aadhaar documents stored in a protected directory, not publicly accessible
- Daily automated database backups
6. Cookies
We use session cookies only to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or share cookie data with advertisers.
7. Your Rights
- Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correction: Update or correct your profile data at any time
- Deletion: Request complete account deletion — contact support@shadigiva.com
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Objection: Object to specific uses of your data
8. Data Retention
Active profiles are retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile data is removed within 24 hours and backup copies are deleted within 30 days. Usage logs may be retained for up to 6 months.
